One sixth (1.1 billion) of the world
population do not have easy access to safe drinking water.
Half of the world population (2.4 billon)
do not have access to adequate sanitation.
2.2 million children die every year
from diseases connected with lack of access to safe drinking water and
adequate sanitation and 6000 children every day.
An average person in the developing
world used 10 lirtes of water every day whereas in UK it is 135 litres.
Washing hands with soap and water can
reduce diarrhea disease by one third.
